About #BeActive Kosovo

About #BeActive Kosovo

The Ministry of Sport and Youth promotes physical activity, healthy lifestyles and inclusion through sport in Kosovo.

About us

The Ministry of Sport and Youth (MSY) is the central government institution responsible for developing and supporting sport and youth in Kosovo. Through policies, programmes and partnerships with national and local institutions, sport organizations, schools, universities and civil society, the Ministry works to increase participation in physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen inclusion, equal opportunities and social cohesion through sport.

The European Week of Sport (EWoS) has been celebrated in Kosovo for the 12th consecutive year, bringing the #BeActive message to communities across the country. The initiative encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to become more active through sport, recreation and community activities, while connecting Kosovo with the wider European movement for healthier and more active societies. Through the #BeActive campaign, EWoS has grown into a nationwide platform for participation, inclusion and cooperation, engaging schools, municipalities, sport federations, clubs, universities and communities across Kosovo.
